Kindergarten eligibility
Children must turn 5 years old on or before August 1, 2026 to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2026–27 school year.
Kindergarten Early Entrance
Indiana law allows school districts to accept Early Entrance Kindergarten students who turn 5 after August 1, 2026 and before October 1, 2026. If your child falls in this window (August 2 – October 1, 2026), complete and return the form below.
- Submission triggers a late May/early June evaluation
- Evaluation includes EPSF Assessment — approximately 2 hours
- Space availability is also considered — early entrance is not guaranteed

Pre-K eligibility
Children must turn 4 years old on or before August 1, 2026 to enroll in Pre-K for the 2026–27 school year. Pre-K availability varies by school — contact your nearest SCSD2 elementary school for details.
How to enroll
- Gather required documents: birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency
- Complete the online enrollment form above
- Contact your neighborhood school to schedule a screening appointment
- Complete online registration through Harmony Family Access
