Why register now? Can I wait until fall?
PreK seat availability is limited.  Attend enrollment to put your child in the best position to start on his/her SCSD2 Path to a Brighter Future! Once capacity is reached, additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist.

What to bring:

  • Your child
  • Birth certificate
  • Court documentation of custody arrangements that differ from birth certificate, if applicable
  • Proof of address (utility, rent, mortgage, medical, or other bill that includes parent/guardian name & address)
  • Additional documentation will be required if applying for OMWPK or CCDF tuition assistance.

Tuition assistance
Unlike K-12 grade levels, state and local governments do not fund preschool programming. This means that we use other funding sources. One source is family-funded tuition. Other sources are On My Way Pre-K and CCDF, federal programs providing tuition support for families. SCSD2 requires ALL PreK families to apply to On My Way Pre-K or CCDF. Tuition will only be charged to families that do not qualify for the federal program. Families that choose not to apply for On My Way Pre-K or CCDF will be placed on a waitlist and will be enrolled in PreK in August if space is available. Initial tuition payments must be received by the end of your school registration in July.

Registration

Families who have completed all enrollment tasks will receive summer communication of their official enrollment into the SCSD2 PreK program. Fully enrolled PreK students will participate in their building-based registrations in late July. Initial tuition payments will be required at that time. Information on registration dates and times will be communicated by building principals.
